We conduct interdisciplinary research to expand our knowledge of systemic challenges to health and society. Examining intersecting health determinants at a population level, we generate evidence that is relevant for decision-makers and health practitioners and which enables scientifically informed policy decisions to reduce health inequities. The AG2 research priorities include global health (e.g., conflict and health, antimicrobial resistance); migration, forced migration and health (e.g., causes and consequences of social and health policies, burden of disease, access to care and prevention measures); and infectious disease epidemiology (e.g., distribution of infectious diseases within and between different population groups, underlying determinants and issues of social inequality).
